Leaving school, after some trials and tribulations over which University to go to, I decided to take a year out and change my degree from what I originally intended; making the contentious move from studying Law, to English Literature. I started at Nottingham Uni and had an amazing three years, reading, studying and making friends! After Uni, after several conversations with a Professor friend, we both decided that I was passionate about communication and marketing- I then began my Masters degree in Marketing and Business. This was an amazing time, when I discovered digital marketing and how - when it was used correctly - it could be leveraged as a powerful branding and CRM tool. I did my Masters dissertation on how advertising online could create a revolutionary marketing model; changing the perception of advertising as an annoying interruption, to an inspiring communication tool and useful way of adding value to a customers experience. After working in online, I am still as passionate about the revolutionary power of digital marketing. My friends think I am a sad digital world obsessive; I view them as the unfourtunate non-converted – if my 70 year old Grandma can consume media online, have a Qudico account and subscribe to RSS feeds then so can they!
